Dear Valued
Customer,
If you are one of our customers who
sometimes uses your Overdraft Privilege with your Visa Debit and ATM cards, we
want you to know that the regulation on how we can handle these has changed.
Effective
August 15, 2010, if
you want to be able to use your Overdraft Privilege for your everyday Visa
Debit card purchases or your ATM card, you must first tell us you want
to be able to do this. If you do not
tell us you want to be able to do this, you will not be able to use your Visa
Debit or ATM card unless you actually have the funds in your account to cover
the transaction completely. The
transaction will be denied at both the point of purchase and the ATM.
This new
regulation has no affect on checks you
write or automatic bills that you have set up to come out of your account each
month. You can still use your Overdraft
Privilege with all checks and electronic transactions whether in person, by
phone, or on the internet.
To avoid having your Visa Debit or
ATM card transactions denied:
The opt-in will only cover the
account numbers you tell us to cover. If you have more
than one account, just tell us which account numbers you want to have the
privilege.
Sincerely,
Terry R
